Society of Rare Sugar(ISRS;http//www.isrs.kagawa-u.ac.jp/)
defines "rare sugar" as "monosaccharides in
nature with scarce amount and their derivatives". For
example, there are a lot of D-glucose, D-fructose, and
D-mannose in nature, but L-glucose, L-fructose, and D-psicose
are not abundant, thus are defined as "Rare sugar".
These rare sugars are potential candidates for raw materials
to chemical compounds and/or research reagents. But they
had been hardly available in market because of their expensiveness.
We have been developing not only in sugar chemistry, but
also in chiral chemistry, based on our bioconversion technologies
and chemical synthesis. And, we can supply rare sugars
and its derivatives to you now! |
